ECTE Events

This page is updated regularly with the dates of events for the ECTE.

ECTE events only apply to cohorts of ECTs starting from September 2025 onwards.

To view events for the ECF, cohorts starting before September 2025, please view our legacy ECF pages:

We will contact participants directly via email to let them know which of the conferences or training dates they should attend from the below. If you need to switch to an alternative date, please contact us to ensure that the change is possible.

Please note that these dates are currently indicative only, and we are able to offer some flexibility, including a third date, to support schools. We are currently processing volumes for ECTs and mentors and some of the below groups and dates may change as a result.

These events are for colleagues starting their programmes in April or September 2025 and beyond. For events relevant to colleagues starting before April 2025, please consult our ECF events page.

The below are all of the sessions we will run. Mentors will have a degree of choice about what they attend, and only need to attend one event in each term. We will take mentors’ choices at onboarding and at the mentor conference.

ECTE Events Structure

ECTE events are designed to work flexibly, with ECTs attending one event each term.

This means that no matter what point in the year an ECT joins their school, they just attend one event, with all ECTs across the region.

While our events do cover content and evidence from the self-study components, they are designed to support ECTs regardless of which point they are at in their independent online work.

You can see how this works for the three starting points in the drop-downs below.
